About the job Remote IT Helpdesk Support
We are looking for a Remote IT Helpdesk Support technician to join our team. This role involves providing remote technical assistance, troubleshooting IT issues, and supporting users with software, hardware, and network-related problems from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide remote support for hardware, software, and network issues

Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely manner

Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues via phone, email, or remote desktop tools

Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware remotely

Assist with software upgrades and system maintenance tasks

Provide user training and guidance on IT systems and tools

Maintain documentation of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations

Ensure security protocols and best practices are followed
Requirements:

Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

A relevant qualification from a South African TVET college or university in IT or a related field

Proven experience in IT helpdesk or technical support roles (preferably remote)

Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems

Familiarity with common business software (e.g. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) and remote desktop tools

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize effectively

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment
