Travel Manager hybrid

 Job Description:

Our client, an Am Law 50 firm, is seeking a Travel Manager to oversee and optimize all domestic and international travel for attorneys and business professionals. Reporting to the Director of Travel, this role ensures seamless coordination, cost-effective vendor management, and a high-quality traveler experience while maintaining compliance with firm policies and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for travelers, resolving escalations, service issues, and day-to-day inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Partner with the Director of Travel to execute travel initiatives and support travel arrangements for firm meetings and events.
  • Manage travel services to ensure efficiency, policy adherence, cost savings, and exceptional client service.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the firms global offices.
  • Develop and deliver training for travel arrangers and travelers, including policy education and profile creation.
  • Support implementation of global travel tools, technologies, and third-party vendor solutions.
  • Maintain and analyze travel reportingdashboards, spend data, compliance metrics, forecasting, and trend monitoring.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with administrative and business services teams.
  • Assist with special projects and respond to urgent travel needs beyond standard business hours.

Proficiencies

  • Experience leading managed travel programs within a global, professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of the global travel industry and key organizations (e.g., GBTA, ACTE).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Skilled in budgeting, cost analysis, forecasting, and operational reporting.
  • Knowledge of administrative and facilities procedures, ideally within a legal environment.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate travel management, within a law firm or professional services setting.
  • Deep knowledge of airline, hotel, and ground transportation programs and global travel operations.
  • Experience managing vendors, policies, processes, and multiple competing priorities.
  • High degree of discretion and professionalism with sensitive travel and firm information.
