Associate Director Business Development - Hybrid
Job Description:
Our client, a leading Am Law 100 firm, is seeking an Associate Director of Business Development to support its Mergers & Acquisitions practice. This role will lead and implement strategic business development and client initiatives, while managing a team dedicated to supporting the practices growth and visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with practice group leaders, partners, and business development leadership to design and execute strategic BD and marketing initiatives.
- Drive key client development and targeting initiatives to strengthen relationships and expand market opportunities.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and foster collaboration across practice groups and offices.
- Develop tailored proposals, pitches, and strategic communications for M&A client pursuits.
- Lead content-driven marketing campaigns and thought leadership to enhance visibility.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive intelligence to inform strategic priorities.
- Plan and execute client-facing events, seminars, and programs to elevate the practices profile.
- Oversee and manage practice group business development budgets to ensure alignment with firm objectives.
- Travel as needed to support client development and practice initiatives.
Proficiencies
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRM, and document management systems.
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Deep understanding of legal industry trends and corporate client expectations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive collaboration.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and legal concepts relevant to M&A and corporate law.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in marketing, business, or law (required).
- 12+ years of progressive marketing/business development experience (preferred).
- 5+ years of management experience in a law firm or related professional services environment (required).
- Demonstrated experience supporting Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups (required).
