Senior Paralegal (Real Estate) hybrid
Job Description:
Our client, an Am Law 50 firm, is seeking a Senior Real Estate Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience supporting complex real estate transactions and the ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented work with minimal supervision. This role is critical to ensuring seamless deal execution and client service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of real estate transactions with minimal attorney supervision.
- Prepare, organize, and review transaction documents, closing checklists, due diligence materials, and closing binders.
- Conduct entity and lien searches; prepare formation, qualification, dissolution, and UCC filing documents.
- Communicate directly with title companies, surveyors, clients, and government agencies to facilitate closings and resolve issues.
- Review and prepare structure charts and signature pages; obtain certifications, charter documents, and EINs as needed.
- Manage and track document execution, prepare signature packets, and oversee post-closing distributions.
- Train and direct junior paralegal team members to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal departments to streamline processes and meet firm standards.
Proficiencies:
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and document management systems.
- Experience using NYC ACRIS and timekeeping or expense systems.
- Strong understanding of real estate documentation, closing processes, and legal billing procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of commercial real estate and real estate paralegal experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- New York Notary Public required.
- Proven ability to meet billable expectations (1,725 hours) and handle overtime or travel as needed.
