Architects Project Manager

Architect Job Responsibilities:

Understand and implement brand design intent manuals

Working knowledge of building codes

Develop preliminary plans

Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.

Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.

Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.

Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.

Produces construction documents in AutoCAD.

May direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project.

May travel to perform field verification of sites

Interfaces with Director of Architecture.

Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams.

Coordinate with signage team

Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.

Requirements

Ability to provide elegant and effect design solutions

A positive, creative, and professional approach to project deliverables.

Knowledge of Tenant Finish Design Packages: interior materials and finishes, floor plans, furniture plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, interior details, millwork details, ceiling details etc.

Proficient in different construction types, building codes, and detailing.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills

High attention to details

Ability to work under indirect supervision

Effective interpersonal skill and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability

Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills

Technically creative and open- minded

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Bachelors or masters degree in architecture from an accredited institution

5+ years of architectural experience preferably within the commercial, hospitality, health clubs, office, retail, animal care, and restaurant industry

Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems, and site requirements

Proficiency in AutoCad and Microsoft Office is required. Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape or equal, Photoshop, Illustrator is preferred

Salary Description$65,000 - $90,000
