Hybrid Patent Litigation Associate
Job Description:
Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking an Associate with at least three years of experience in patent litigation and a background in technology or life sciences. 3rd to 6th year law school graduates ONLY.
This role involves hands-on litigation work, including the preparation and trial of patent cases, Markman hearings, technical product and patent analysis, discovery management, expert coordination, depositions, and drafting of pleadings and motions. Experience in district court and/or before the International Trade Commission (ITC) is preferred.
The firm fosters a collaborative culture, and this position requires being on-site approximately 60% of the time, in line with firm guidelines.
Qualifications:
- J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to practice in California, Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, D.C.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in patent litigation
- Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field; OR
- Life sciences background in biology, immunology, biochemistry, or a related field
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in team settings and maintain professionalism with clients
