Location: La Marque, TX
Compensation: $110,000–$120,000 annually + performance bonus

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field/Shop Project Manager to lead complex fabrication and field projects in La Marque, Texas.
This position oversees projects from pre-construction through final close-out, with responsibility for safety, quality, scheduling, manpower, fabrication activities, subcontractor coordination, project costs, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience in heavy fabrication environments involving pipe, vessels, burners, structural components, multiple alloys, and ASME Code requirements. This role requires a strong leader who understands both field and shop operations and can effectively manage foremen, production activities, subcontractors, schedules, and project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct job-site walks, assist with estimating, and develop construction sequences.
- Lead pre-construction planning, constructability reviews, and site logistics.
- Supervise field personnel, manpower planning, materials, equipment, and project schedules.
- Manage foremen and coordinate field and shop activities.
- Review project submittals and coordinate quality-control requirements, including WPS, WPQ, NDE, and ITP documentation.
- Manage subcontractor scopes, punch lists, and project close-out activities.
- Enforce company and project safety requirements and ensure incidents are properly reported.
- Maintain strong communication and working relationships with customers.
- Oversee fabrication project scope, bills of material (BOM), manufacturing methods, and quality requirements.
- Develop project schedules and lead project kickoff meetings.
- Maintain required project documentation and technical manuals.
- Support production management and resolve fabrication and manufacturing issues.
- Monitor project costs, schedules, and overall performance.
- Prepare and issue change orders as required.
- Maintain project information and tracking within the company's ERP system.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of supervisory experience in a fabrication shop environment.
- 3–5 years of experience in a superintendent role.
- Experience with pipe, vessels, burners, structural components, and other complex fabrication projects.
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy, welding procedures, and ASME Code requirements.
- Extensive experience with MIG, TIG, SAW, SMAW, and FCAW welding processes.
- Experience fitting and welding multiple alloys.
- Strong understanding of fabrication safety, quality, scheduling, and production requirements.
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, critical-thinking, and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Combined field and fabrication shop supervisory experience.
- Experience with WPS, WPQ, NDE, and ITP quality requirements.
- Experience managing subcontractors and field construction activities.
- Experience managing fabrication project costs, schedules, change orders, and close-out.
- ERP-based project management and tracking experience.
This is a full-time, onsite position in La Marque, TX.
