This lab-based role is dedicated to supporting the technical needs of our flexible packaging customers while driving innovation in partnership with our Business Development team. You will serve as both a technical expert and an industry thought leader, bringing new technologies and solutions to market.

Key responsibilities include:

• Applying deep expertise in flexible packaging, from formulation to application of adhesives and coatings.
• Partnering with Business Development and Product Development to address customer and market needs.
• Engaging with external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, research institutes) to support innovation initiatives.
• Developing and testing breakthrough technologies and scaling them from lab to pilot to market.
• Representing the company in industry associations, authoring white papers, and showcasing expertise externally.
• Managing and executing key innovation and application projects across flexible packaging technologies.
• Running pilot-scale lamination and coating equipment to validate new ideas and support customer scale-up.
• Leading testing and market introductions of new products and technologies.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

• 10+ years of flexible packaging industry experience in application engineering or product development.
• Proven expertise in application methods, product development, and technology scale-up.
• Willingness to travel 30 to 50% to customer and partner sites.
• Strong technical writing skills for documentation, manuals, and process guides.
• Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and presenting technical findings to stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with strong business acumen.
• Analytical thinker with a foundation in Lean, Six Sigma, or scientific methodologies.
