Patent Agent (Electrical Engineering) - Hybrid

 Job Description:

Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a skilled Patent Agent with a minimum of two years of patent prosecution experience to join its thriving Intellectual Property practice. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the protection of innovations in wireless communications, AI, processor architecture, and more.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with patent prosecution in the following areas:

  • 5G, Wi-Fi, and other wireless technologies
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Processor and memory systems
  • Image processing and RF front-end technologies

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in collaboration with inventors and attorneys
  • Evaluate invention disclosures and assess patentability
  • Respond to USPTO Office Actions
  • Work closely with clients to develop and manage strategic IP portfolios

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Registered to practice before the USPTO (or eligible for registration)
  • At least two years of patent prosecution experience
  • Exceptional academic credentials and communication skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Client-facing experience in managing patent portfolios
  • Technical background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, natural language processing, computer vision, or wireless communications
