About the job Implementation Specialist
IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST
Our client is a performance marketing agency serving clients across healthcare, dental, eCommerce, and EdTech. Tracking & Analytics is central to how they measure and optimize everything they do — and it's growing fast.
About the Role
We're hiring an Implementation Specialist to be the technical engine behind their tracking and analytics work, so the Technical Account Managers (TAM) and Advisors can stay focused on client relationships and strategy instead of splitting time on the build itself.
You'll own the hands-on technical work across the client lifecycle: configuring and providing strategy recommendations on tracking setup, standing up integrations, troubleshooting when things break, and potentially building the reporting that shows clients their marketing is working. You won't run point on the client relationship, but your work needs to hold up under scrutiny — because it's often the thing a client's entire attribution picture depends on the tracking we set up.
What We Are Looking For
Must-haves:
- Hands-on experience configuring Google Tag Manager and GA4 for custom events, conversions, and server-side tagging
- Conduct website and tracking audits to provide recommendations and outline the tags/events that should be set up
- Familiarity with ClickUp or similar project management tools for tracking build work
- Experience or knowledge of CRM and offline conversion pipelines (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Measurement Protocol) to funnel conversions into ad platforms or a CDP
- Strong independent troubleshooting instincts — you can look at broken or inconsistent tracking, find the root cause, and implement the fix without much hand-holding
- Light scripting ability (custom GTM tags/triggers, Google Apps Script, or similar) for one-off solutions
- Ability to document technical findings clearly enough that a Technical Account Manager or Advisor can act on without needing you in the room
- Sound judgment on technical architecture and approach especially in regulated industries where the wrong call has real compliance consequences.
Nice-to-haves (or trainable with the right foundation)
- Experience in healthcare, dental, or other HIPAA-adjacent industries
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting call tracking platforms (e.g., CallRail, CallTrackingMetrics)
- Prior experience at a marketing agency or in a broader MarTech environment
- Comfortable building reporting and dashboards clients actually rely on (e.g., GA4, Looker Studio, Power BI)
- Working knowledge of CDP/CMP platforms (e.g., Segment, Ours Privacy, Freshpaint, Curve, OneTrust) — configuring them and evaluating options against a client's needs
The Environment
This role sits at the intersection of a lean, highly technical team and a diverse, fast-moving client base. Some of what you build will be reviewed by sophisticated in-house marketing ops teams; some of it will need to be explained in plain terms to stakeholders who've never heard of a data layer.
You'll work closely with our clients Technical Account Managers and Analytics Advisor. TAMs handle the client-facing scheduling and relationship management, and the Advisor signs off on ambiguous or high-risk architecture calls, so you can stay focused on the build itself. The strongest candidate is someone who gets energy from solving a hard technical problem cleanly, documents their work well enough that it speaks for itself, and is comfortable owning the technical judgment calls in a space where accuracy and compliance genuinely matter.
