Position Summary

The Director of Business Development will spearhead strategic growth across Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. This leader will be responsible for expanding the companys commercial footprint by developing new accounts, strengthening key relationships, and driving revenue growth. In addition to building their own book of business, the Director will mentor and support the sales team while partnering closely with executive leadership to execute long-term growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth Leadership
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the companys expansion goals and market opportunities.

New Business & Relationship Development
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with commercial and institutional property owners, facilities leaders, procurement professionals, insurance adjusters, and other key decision-makers involved in vendor selection.

Sales Team Leadership
Recruit, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Establish clear performance objectives, provide ongoing guidance, and drive accountability for results.

Market Presence & Brand Elevation
Represent the company at industry events, association meetings, and community forums to strengthen brand recognition and market positioning.

Revenue & Account Expansion
Drive profitable growth through new client acquisition, key account development, and innovative marketing and outreach initiatives.

Performance Analytics & Optimization
Leverage CRM tools and data insights to monitor pipeline performance, forecast revenue, and continuously improve sales processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with operations and marketing teams to ensure seamless client experience, strong service delivery, and alignment between growth and execution.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in business development or sales leadership, ideally within restoration, construction, or facilities services.

Demonstrated success developing commercial accounts within the relevant geography and industry.

Proven leadership experience managing and developing sales teams.

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders.

Data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics.

Ability to travel throughout the region
