Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Lead to join our clients team in the greater Boston area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with previous experience in the construction industry preferred.
As the Accounting & Finance Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company. This includes managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and developing and implementing financial policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for managing the company's budget and forecasting financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports on a regular basis
- Manage the company's budget and forecast financial performance
- Oversee the company's tax planning and compliance
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor project budgets and ensure accurate cost tracking
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support decision making
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting and finance professionals
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Previous experience in the construction industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Experience with financial software and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
