A globally backed venture platform is launching a major healthcare venture-building initiative in Southeast Asia and is seeking a Director of Global Development to help lead the effort from the ground up.

The Role

This is a two-phase leadership role designed for someone excited by both capital formation and venture creation.

Phase 1: Fundraising & Market Development

Initially, you will lead the formation of a Southeast Asia venture strategy, helping secure institutional backing while establishing the platforms presence across the region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building relationships with LPs including family offices, sovereign funds, institutional investors, and strategic healthcare players

• Leading fundraising efforts from sourcing and pitching to securing capital commitments

• Establishing relationships with government stakeholders, regulators, healthcare systems, and strategic partners

• Representing the platform in the regional venture ecosystem

• Developing the local investment thesis and opportunity pipeline

Your ability to build investor confidence while validating market opportunities will be critical to successfully launching the regional strategy.

Phase 2: Venture Creation & Platform Leadership

Following the successful fund launch, your role will expand into venture building and company creation across Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities may include:

• Identifying major healthcare market opportunities

• Developing and validating new venture concepts

• Recruiting world-class founders and operating teams

• Structuring partnerships with healthcare systems and strategic investors

• Supporting the launch and scaling of AI-enabled healthcare companies

High-performing leaders in this role may ultimately step into broader regional leadership responsibilities, potentially overseeing the Southeast Asia platform.

You likely bring:

• 10+ years of experience

• Experience working with institutional investors or capital allocators

• A strong regional network with investors, founders, or healthcare organizations

• A track record of fundraising, partnerships, or venture creation

Top-tier academic credentials or equivalent professional distinction are a plus.
