Job Title: Plant HR Manager (Bilingual English/French)

About the Role

We're looking for a Bilingual Plant HR Manager to provide on-site HR leadership and support across our Terrebonne facilities. In this role, you'll handle everything from employee relations and recruitment to compliance and talent development. Youll be the go-to HR leader for both hourly and salaried staff fluent English and French are essential for success.

What Youll Do

‍‍ Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Manage employee relations and maintain non-union status (where applicable)

  • Apply HR laws and regulations: PIPEDA, ESA, CNESST, WSIB, etc.

  • Conduct surveys on morale, compensation, and employment trends

  • Guide managers and employees on performance, policy, and disciplinary matters

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Lead hiring for salaried and leadership roles

  • Monitor workforce trends and improve hourly recruitment practices

  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and unbiased hiring

  • Onboard and support new managers

Compensation & Benefits

  • Collaborate on local compensation strategies with corporate partners

  • Communicate pension and retirement programs

  • Train coordinators on pay structures and benefits

  • Ensure proper implementation of wage increases and bonuses

Training & Culture

  • Conduct training on harassment, workplace violence, and bias awareness

  • Foster positive employee morale and conflict resolution opportunities

Labor Relations

  • Build strong relationships with union and non-union staff

  • Support contract administration and grievance processes

HR Systems & Tools

  • Use systems like KRONOS, SIMON, Workday for day-to-day HR operations

  • Coordinate payroll, IT, and benefits workflows

  • Balance employee and business needs effectively

What You Bring

Bachelors degree required (Masters preferred)
7+ years of HR experience (manufacturing preferred)
10+ years of HR experience a strong asset
Bilingual in English and French (oral and written)
HR Certification preferred (HRCI or SHRM)
Strong understanding of Canadian HR law and best practices
Ability to multitask and work across multiple locations
