A globally backed venture platform is launching a major healthcare venture-building initiative in the United Kingdom and is seeking a Director of Global Development to help lead the effort from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity for an investor or venture operator to help launch a new UK-focused venture strategy, build relationships with leading capital allocators, and create high-impact healthcare companies across the region.

The Role
This is a two-phase leadership role designed for someone excited by both capital formation and venture creation.
Phase 1: Fundraising & Market Development
Initially, you will lead the development of the platforms UK venture strategy, helping secure institutional backing while establishing a strong presence across the UK ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building relationships with LPs including family offices, institutional investors, sovereign capital, and strategic healthcare partners
- Leading fundraising efforts — sourcing, pitching, and securing LP commitments
- Establishing relationships with government stakeholders, regulators, healthcare systems, and strategic partners
- Representing the platform within the UK venture and healthcare innovation ecosystem
- Developing the regional investment thesis and opportunity pipeline
Your ability to build investor confidence while validating major healthcare market opportunities will be critical to successfully launching the platforms UK strategy.
Phase 2: Venture Creation & Platform Leadership
Following the successful fund launch, your role will expand into venture building and company creation across the UK.
Responsibilities may include:
- Identifying major healthcare market opportunities across the UK
- Developing and validating new venture concepts
- Recruiting world-class founders and operating teams
- Structuring partnerships with healthcare systems, corporates, and growth equity investors
- Supporting the launch and scaling of AI-enabled healthcare companies
High-performing leaders in this role may ultimately step into broader leadership responsibilities, potentially overseeing the platforms UK operations.

- Strong relationships with institutional investors, founders, or healthcare organizations in the UK
- Experience fundraising, building partnerships, or launching new ventures
- A strong understanding of the UK healthcare and venture ecosystem
Top-tier academic credentials or equivalent professional distinction are a plus.
