JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director, Quality and Process Improvement is responsible for oversight of all quality initiatives to include monitoring quality metrics at the unit level. This position oversees regulatory readiness through assessment and implementation of measures to meet regulatory requirements. The Director, Quality and Process Improvement evaluates the overall care of patients by identifying opportunities for improvement in patient care practice. Through identification of process improvements and educational opportunities, communication, and reporting state of quality to several groups.

In the execution of job duties, it is the universal expectation that all tasks are performed with a patient centered focus, while also seeking opportunities to continually improve core processes. Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need, which may include but is not limited to: holidays, extended shifts, night and/or weekend shifts, standby and/or on-call.   • Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer

  • Effectively applies the tools, processes, skills, and principles to achieve the required outcomes of a change project or initiative.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare Administration

Current Virginia State Registered Nurse License

5 years' experience in Acute Care setting

1 year of Leadership experience

1 year of Project Management or Quality Improvement experience

Nice to have:

5+ years Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting

Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
