Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
- C1+ English level
Experience:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex data pipelines and ETL processes.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud data engineering.
- Experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and database design.
- Strong experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark or Kafka.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
Requirements:
- Strong database management skills, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Deep understanding of ETL processes and tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Amazon Redshift, including cluster management, performance tuning, and optimizing data storage.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures, including star and snowflake schemas.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions in the cloud.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines utilizing various technologies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level data engineers, and lead data engineering projects.
- Monitor and optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot complex data-related problems and database errors.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
- Provide documentation as appropriate including design documentation.
- Automate data workflows and processes.
- Analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making processes.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud and data engineering technologies and best practices.
