MERCHANDISER ROLE - Malimali Business
Job Description:
The role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing merchandising strategies to enhance the presentation and promotion of products in our wholesale section. You will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure that our products are showcased effectively, thereby driving customer engagement and increasing sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales: No 1 market share in key categories & meeting sales targets where applicable
- Stock Availability and order generation: Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to meet customer demand. Implement effective inventory control communication measures to minimize overstock and stockouts
- Collaboration: Work closely with wholesale channel manager to understand market trends and customer preferences.
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
Ensure smooth and timely offloading of products to wholesale customers in liaison with Dispatch & Logistics team.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of products when delivered - meets company standards. Address and resolve any quality issues with wholesale channel manager promptly
- Competitor activity reporting: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
Analyse sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- In collaboration with channel manager, ensure Joint Business Plans (JBPs) targets are monitored and achieved
- Attire: Represent company by wearing Company uniform and respectable clothing, hairstyle, shoes - represent the company well with visibly well displayed name tags
- Build and strengthen Customer Relationships in the wholesale section of the business.
- Monitor all promotional sales on wholesale business to ensure adherence to the pricing policy
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- A diploma in business related course.
- Previous experience in visual merchandising, preferably in a retail environment.
- Strong understanding of retail sales principles and customer behavior.
- Creative flair and an eye for detail to create visually appealing displays.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and store staff.
- Knowledge of current market trends and competitor activities in the retail industry.
