Job Overview:

To better serve the global auto industry electric vehicle trend in the United States, CATL, through its U.S.-based subsidiary, CATK, is CATK, is seeking two talented and experienced HVAC Engineers to join our team. As an HVAC Engineer at CATK, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction, installation, debugging, and optimization of HVAC systems. Your role will involve resolving on-site issues, establishing system standards, and implementing energy-saving technologies to enhance system efficiency.


Essential Functions:

  • Design and oversee the installation of HVAC systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead system debugging and commissioning activities to achieve optimal performance and reliability.

  • Conduct on-site assessments and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues promptly, coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed.

  • Develop and refine HVAC system standards, incorporating the latest technological advancements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Evaluate energy-saving initiatives and technologies, implementing strategies to minimize environmental impact and operational costs.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into building designs and renovations.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance teams, ensuring ongoing system reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as an HVAC engineer in a manufacturing environment, including equipment maintenance, system optimization, and troubleshooting.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC design principles, codes, and standards.

  • Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance is required for this position.

  • Ability to interact professionally with individuals of varied backgrounds and skill level.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.

  • Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting.

  • Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds.

  • Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required.

  • Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation.
