Job Overview:
To better serve the global auto industry electric vehicle trend in the United States, CATL, through its U.S.-based subsidiary Contemporary Amperex Technology Kentucky, LLC (CATK), is seeking a full-time and salary-exempted ERP System Engineer to join the dynamic team. The ERP System Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the establishment and optimization of standardized logistics process information systems and the construction of the company's information management system. This role involves designing, implementing, and continuously optimizing system development for various business modules, setting up a Supply Chain Master Data platform, and providing decision support for logistics strategy. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ERP systems, particularly SAP, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance business support and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Support the establishment of standardized and efficient logistics process information systems.
Assist in the construction and enhancement of the company's information management system.
Ensure alignment of logistics processes with the company’s overall business strategy.
Design and implement system development for specific business modules, including material control, lean logistics, warehouse management, transportation management, and advanced production planning.
Continuously utilize basic knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems to support system development and optimization.
Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure the successful integration and functionality of system modules.
Set up a Supply Chain Master Data platform to collect and manage operational data.
Process and analyze data to provide decision support for logistics strategy.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across the supply chain.
Apply SAP system supply chain module knowledge to improve operational workflows.
Integrate ERP system functionalities to streamline supply chain activities.
Provide training and support to relevant stakeholders on ERP system functionalities and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in ERP system engineering, with a focus on SAP supply chain modules.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems and their application in logistics and supply chain management.
Experience in designing and implementing system development for various business modules.
Proficiency in data analysis and management, with the ability to provide strategic insights.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance is required for this position.
Ability to interact professionally with individuals of varied backgrounds and skill levels.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.
Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting
Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds, as some equipment and materials might be heavy.
Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required, depending on the project.
Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation.
