A leading digital-first financial services organisation is expanding rapidly and is looking for a Senior Project Manager with a "project CEO" mindset.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

You will lead high-impact, cross-functional technology and business initiatives from inception to implementation. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex digital banking and technology projects end-to-end.

  • Driving clarity, decision-making, and alignment across multiple business units and external partners.

  • Identifying risks early, removing blockers, and accelerating delivery.

  • Ensuring excellent execution across design, development, testing, and client experience.

  • Managing executive forums and providing concise, data-driven progress updates.

  • Owning delivery timelines, scope, interdependencies, and value realisation.
  • Introducing simplicity, innovation, and pace into projects and processes.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems and the digital banking or fintech environment.
  • Solid grasp of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and relate them to business needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker who understands organisational dynamics and long-term objectives.
  • High ownership mindset with strong accountability and initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced facilitation, presentation, and negotiation capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma preferred).

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 8-10+ years' experience managing large-scale projects in a corporate or financial services environment.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

  • Exposure to digital banking, payments, core banking systems, or related technologies is highly advantageous.
