JOB OVERVIEW:

An excellent opportunity is available for a Senior SAP Functional Consultant (CO) to join our client's team. This role requires a highly experienced consultant with specialist knowledge in SAP Controlling (CO) to design, implement, and support financial controlling solutions that align with business objectives.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The Senior SAP Functional Consultant (CO) will be responsible for delivering end-to-end SAP CO solutions, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their controlling and financial reporting needs, ensuring integration with other SAP modules, and driving system enhancements to optimise financial performance and decision-making processes. The consultant will also provide expertise during SAP project implementations, upgrades, and S/4HANA migrations.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Deep functional knowledge of SAP CO sub-modules (Cost Centre Accounting, Profit Centre Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), and Material Ledger).
• Strong understanding of the integration between SAP CO and other modules (FI, MM, PP, SD).
• Proficiency in configuration, testing, and support of SAP CO processes.
• Ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
• Skilled in preparing functional specifications for development and working with technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SAP certification in Controlling (CO) is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience as an SAP CO Functional Consultant.
• Proven involvement in at least two full lifecycle SAP implementations with significant CO focus.
• Extensive experience in configuring and supporting SAP CO processes and sub-modules.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial and management accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in working with business users to deliver training and provide post-implementation support.
• Exposure to the integration of SAP CO with SAP FI and other relevant modules.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Fiori applications.
• Knowledge of ABAP debugging for functional purposes.
• Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Previous experience in consulting environments or large-scale enterprise projects.
• Exposure to SAP Central Finance environments.
