Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • 5-10 years of project management experience in product development or packaging within a manufacturing or CPG organization.
  • Proven experience in building Bills of Materials (BOM) and sourcing products domestically.
  • Experience in custom corporate gifting or promotional products is a significant advantage.
  • Strong multitasking abilities with the capability to prioritize and support multiple initiatives.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of sales cycles and experience in supporting sales staff and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Role Overview:

In this essential role, you will support the development and creation of unique products across multiple business lines. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of pre-production development, including costing, researching, purchasing, and sourcing both new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development: Assist in the development of innovative product offerings for various business lines.
  • Stakeholder Support: Fulfill requests from internal stakeholders and sales/broker teams for private label and branded programs.
  • Research: Conduct thorough research on new product and packaging ideas.
  • Project Coordination: Manage new product development activities, including market and product research, competitive analysis, timeline creation, sourcing, costing, and packaging.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team and sourcing department to locate and price products and packaging that meet customer specifications and price points.
  • Cost Analysis: Assist in product costing breakdown and bill of materials development, covering raw materials, components, labor, and other costs to determine pricing.
  • Order Management: Handle procedures such as sample log maintenance and order placement/tracking.
  • Vendor Communication: Liaise with domestic and third-party vendors to obtain pricing, stock, and other information, request samples, and finalize details for purchasing, marketing, production, and other departments.
  • Additional Duties: Participate in other projects and duties as required.
