Human Resource Generalist for Heritage Financial Services

Position Purpose
The Human Resource Generalist (HR Generalist) coordinates a wide range of human resource functions including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new hires, and ensuring employees are well informed of human resource policies and programs, and training to be successful in their roles at the Credit Union.
Completes payroll processing, and benefits administration, maintains and updates employee records, completes assigned tax, insurance, and benefits reporting requirements, and ensures that all employee and payroll records and reporting are in compliance with federal and state regulations.
The HR Generalist will contribute to departmental efforts to strengthen the employee experience and organizational culture continuously; support practices to effectively assimilate new employees into the organization.
Education/Certifications:
*Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (or related field)
*SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential or ability to obtain within the first year of employment. ATD or other relevant certification is desired.
Experience:
*Two to five years of related experience required.
*Prior payroll processing experience required.
*Experience working with Paylocity a plus.
*Previous experience in financial services a plus.
Required Knowledge:
*This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work.
*The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.

*Advanced level of interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with others in addition to maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
*Ability to project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
