Overview

The Human Resources Generalist will provide professional level support in all areas related to Human Resources, including responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employee Relations, Compliance, Performance Management, Onboarding, Payroll and Benefits Administration. As our newest Generalist, you will participate in HR projects and implements group practices and procedures which ensure consistency, while being aware of legal and cultural requirements.

What will you do?

Recruiting

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings

Employee Relations

  • Coordinate employee relations issues with HR Manager to ensure prompt and appropriate resolution
  • Lead investigations and make recommendations based on the results of your findings
  • Attend and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

Leadership and Development

  • Lead a variety of HR processes, including performance management, staffing, training initiatives, compensation, career development, employee relations, and HR policy development
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating existing processes and focusing on improvement of tools, digitization, process controls, and increasing the overall efficiency of the HR function

Administration

  • Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Assist in the administration of various human resource programs for designated sites.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is detail oriented, organized, able to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Adapts to business priorities that change quickly.
  • Is able to multi-task, and handle frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
  • Must be able to demonstrate problem solving abilities, decisiveness and flexibility.
  • Must have strong teamwork mentality.
  • Has 4-6 years’ of HR Generalist experience.
  • Ability to work independently and employ effective time management skills.
  • Has experience in the following systems: ADP Workforce Now, Kronos Workforce Central, iCIMS, and Microsoft tools (preferred).
  • Is bilingual – Spanish (preferred).
  • Has the ability to handle very sensitive information in a discreet, confidential manner.
