Our Client is one of the largest and most established construction companies in Switzerland, delivering complex construction and infrastructure projects across the country.

About this Role

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to support our Client in strengthening and accelerating the delivery of their Business Central environment.

The Client is currently experiencing challenges with the speed and reliability of Business Central development and delivery. We are therefore looking for a strong hands-on developer who can quickly understand the existing solution, identify technical bottlenecks, take ownership of development tasks, and help improve overall delivery quality and efficiency.

This role requires someone who is highly independent, pragmatic, and comfortable working within an existing Business Central implementation rather than a greenfield environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Analyze the existing Business Central environment and quickly understand current customizations, extensions, and integrations.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues affecting delivery, stability, or performance.
• Develop and enhance Business Central extensions using AL.
• Troubleshoot existing functionality and identify root causes of technical problems.
• Support integrations between Business Central and other internal or external systems.
• Review existing code and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, functional consultants, and other technical team members to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Support testing, deployment, debugging, and production issue resolution.
• Contribute to improving development standards, release processes, documentation, and overall delivery quality.
• Take ownership of assigned topics and proactively drive them through to completion.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer.
• Excellent hands-on experience with AL development and Business Central extensions.
• Strong understanding of Business Central architecture, configuration, customization, and development best practices.
• Experience working with existing and highly customized Business Central environments.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with Business Central APIs, web services, and third-party integrations.
• Understanding of Business Central deployment and release processes.
• Experience with Git and modern source-control/development workflows.
• Ability to analyze existing codebases and independently identify technical issues and improvement opportunities.
• Strong ownership mentality and ability to work independently in a delivery-focused environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluent English.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting or improving Business Central projects experiencing delivery or performance challenges.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD for Business Central.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and the broader Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem.
• Experience with ERP solutions in the construction, engineering, or project-based industries.
• Knowledge of finance, project management, procurement, or construction-related Business Central processes.
• German language skills.
