About the Job:

Our client is seeking an experienced Ocean Product Manager to enhance freight forwarding services, particularly in ocean import and export. This role offers a unique opportunity to improve the customer service experience by providing exceptional internal and external support. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day ocean import and export shipments.
• Work with the team to provide shipment quotes.
• Manage a team of six shipping coordinators.
• Utilize and train employees on CargoWise and Microsoft Suite for reporting and operations.
• Assist the team in shipment coordination and issue resolution.
• Handle customer escalations efficiently, ensuring positive outcomes for both the customer and the company.
• Stay updated on market trends in freight forwarding and collaborate with higher management to align with company goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
• Minimum of five years experience in freight forwarding operations, specifically in ocean import/export.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of business development.
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Capabilities:

• Strong team leadership and collaboration skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Expertise in shipping solutions for ocean import/export to retain and expand customer relationships.
• Technical proficiency in CargoWise, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
