VIPA is a European multinational company, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a rapidly expanding Paper and Board Division and a leading position in the global recycling and recovered material trading.We are looking for a Senior BI Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. The role is focused on Business Intelligence and Data Engineering - designing robust data infrastructure, building insightful dashboards, and turning raw data into actionable business value. You will work across the full data lifecycle, from integration and modeling to reporting and KPI frameworks, collaborating closely with business teams to drive data-informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI frameworks.

  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines and data models.

  • Integrate data from multiple business systems (ERP, CRM, APIs, databases).

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across platforms.

  • Build and enhance data warehouses and analytical models.

  • Work closely with business teams to translate requirements into data solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboards).

  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.

  • Solid experience in data engineering and ETL/ELT pipelines.

  • Strong Python skills.

  • Experience working with relational databases.

  • Familiarity with APIs and version control (Git).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Airflow.

  • Exposure to dbt or similar data transformation tools.

  • Knowledge of data governance and documentation best practices.

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
