Senior Structural Engineer - Birmingham - Salary Guide: £45,000 - £55,000 (Guide Only, Open to Discussions)

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join a highly reputable Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy in Birmingham.  My Client offers a modern and dynamic approach to their work whilst successfully maintaining a collaborative and inclusive feel to their team dynamics and work environment.

Due to continuous success and ever increasing demand by their Clients for their skills in the delivery of challenging design schemes they are looking to further enhance their team with the appointment of an additional Structural Engineer. My Client's reputation has been built upon their consistent professional delivery of complex, engineering design solutions to Clients across the construction sector.

Typically as a Senior Structural Engineer you can expect to be an fantastic range of projects which include, but are not restricted to: commercial, industrial, blue-light facilities, logistics, laboratories, life-science buildings and healthcare schemes. Therefore you can fully expect to be working on multi-material style projects.  Due to the nature of some of their schemes structural steel / portal framed structural experience would be of benefit but is not essential.

The role of Senior Structural Engineer essentially requires:

• A good, solid grounding, understanding and background in structural design and engineering for buildings
• A solid amount of design experience within a consultancy based environment
• Be degree qualified in Civil / Structural Engineering and ideally have an interest  or already be progressing towards Chartership Status with ICE / IStructE
• A personal confidence that enables you to effectively liaise with Clients, Architects, site professionals and other Design Team Members
• Ability to attend site if required
• Report writing skills
• Skills and expertise to enable you to responsibility for projects allocated showing a thorough and methodical approach to your projects ensuring accurate and timely delivery of structural design schemes.
• Experience in designing in common build materials - steel /concrete

As this is a Senior role you can expect to lead on projects however this is a hands on design engineering position.
