Join a Growing Interiors Contractor Delivering High-Quality Commercial Fit-Out Projects

An established interiors contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Foreman / Interiors Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects across the Midlands and surrounding areas.

Approximately 90% of projects are based within the Midlands, although there will be occasional opportunities that require travel and working away from home.

Projects range in value from £50,000 to £1 million and include a variety of high-end commercial refurbishment works, including:

  • Office refurbishments
  • Partitioning systems
  • Frameless glazed partitions
  • Suspended ceilings
  • LED lighting upgrades
  • Emergency lighting installations
  • Climate control works
  • Electrical upgrades
  • Kitchen and breakout area refurbishments
  • Toilet refurbishments
  • Floor finishes including carpet tiles, LVT and ceramics

This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served interiors professional looking to take ownership of projects and play a key role in delivering exceptional finishes for a growing business.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing projects from site mobilisation through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing subcontractors and trades on a daily basis.
  • Ordering materials and procuring specialist equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting construction drawings across multiple disciplines.
  • Acting as the main point of contact on site for clients, consultants and the Project Manager.
  • Making key day-to-day decisions to maintain programme and quality.
  • Managing all aspects of site health and safety.
  • Producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) where required.
  • Maintaining and developing project CDM documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collecting design information, certificates, manufacturers' literature and operating manuals.
  • Producing comprehensive Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals for client handover.
  • Monitoring project programmes and critical installation dates.
  • Carrying out ongoing quality inspections and snagging throughout the project.
  • Ensuring projects are completed with minimal defects and a first-class finish.

About You

We're looking for someone who genuinely understands commercial interiors and takes pride in delivering outstanding projects.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Site Foreman, Site Manager or Interiors Supervisor.
  • A strong background within commercial interiors or office fit-out.
  • Excellent knowledge of finishing trades and quality control.
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving.
  • High standards of workmanship with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.
