Assistant Civil Engineering Technician

Excellent opportunity for a Assistant Civil Engineering Technician has arisen; ideal for a recent college leaver or even a recent Graduate Civil Engineer who is open to commencing their career within as a Technician and undertake a progressive role within a design team. 

My Client focuses on civil infrastructure design, within the residential sector, working with many of the major housing contractors, designing full infrastructure design solutions for housing developments.

ROLE
The role will be to commence as an Junior Civil Engineering Technician, supporting the Civil Engineers in the completion of civil engineering drawings for residential schemes.   Supporting the Senior Engineers in the completion of projects your main responsibilities initially will be to support the Engineers in the planning, design and execution of projects. You will utilise AutoCAD to produce detailed construction drawings and technical packages for roads, groundworks, drainage schemes etc.

In this role you will be mentored and supported by experienced Civil Engineers, enabling you to grown and develop your knowledge of projects and in turn further your career and develop into a well-rounded Civil Design Engineer.   This role can be adapted in terms of progression hence its suitability for both a recent college leaver or a Graduate Civil Engineer.  As you grow in confidence and knowledge your duties will also grow inline with your Qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS
A Degree in Civil Engineering (or other relevant subject) is required OR
HNC / HND in Civil Engineering

Additional confidence in the use of AutoCAD is essential as is study based experience in the production of civil related construction drawings and details. 

Communication skills is essential; my Client is an independent Consultancy who all work closely together as a Team so an individuals ability to collaborate and work well with others is just as important as their overall skill sets.
