Offshore_Assistant Chief Officer (FSO)

 Job Description:

Our client is a Leader of the production and operation in the oil and gas, they are looking for a contractor 3 years in “Assistant Chief Officer (FSO)”, working as a rotation: in the Gulf of Thailand.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Barge Master and Chief Officer in activities that encourages and maintain safety of all personnel onboard on the FSO2.
  • Assist Chief Officer in supervision and coordination of all condensates receiving, storage and offloading, metering and tank cleaning operations covering Bongkot (North & South) and Arthit Production Platform.
  • Assist Chief Officer in performing cargo tank or ballast tank cleaning, purging, gas freeing and tank entry when carrying out cargo tank inspection by ABS class surveyor or tank maintenance.
  • Assist Chief Officer (FSO) in supervising all maintenance activities of the deck machineries and in maintaining safety of activities and all personnel on board on the FSO2.
  • Assist Chief Officer in shuttle tanker mooring and un-mooring at aft station.
  • Assist Chief Officer in cargo operations and offloading calculation at nighttime.
  • Be responsible for helicopter operation and act as HLO substitution when Deck Foreman is absent. Conduct safety briefing to visitor.
  • Supervise and coordinate with the supply boat during cargo loading and unloading, including fuel oil transferring, freshwater transferring and Slop produce water transferring.
  • Be a team member of FSO2 hygiene inspection and follow up the corrective action of finding items.
  • Summarize Work Permit Audit report and SOC report in each month.
  • Attend the offshore SSHE Committees meeting as FSO2 representative.
  • Perform other related tasks as required by Barge Master.
  • Be in charge of CCR duty on daily mealtime (breakfast and dinner).
  • Comply with and promote the Company’s SSHE rules and regulations in all work under responsibility.
  • Assist Barge Master to handle emergency situation according to “Offshore Emergency.
  • Response Plan” on the FSO2. He is assigned as an emergency fire team leader and a rescue team leader.

Qualifications:

  • Thai nationality only.
  • Possess STCW 2010 Certificate of Competency “Chief mate on ships of 3,000 gross tonnage or more” or “Master on ships of between 500 and 3,000 gross tonnage” with IMO endorsement for dangerous goods.
  • Attended all compulsory courses needed by STCW 2010 convention.
  • Possess strong marine background with service to at least deck officer level.
  • Experiences in tanker operations as cargo officer in inert gas tankers.
  • FSO experience is an advantage.

Certificate Requirements:

  • Valid Certificate of Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training or Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) or Tropical Further Offshore Emergency Training (TFOET) or Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET).
  • Valid medical reports with fit-to-work results.
  • The above-mentioned certificates on minimum requirements section.
  • Basic Fire Fighting Training.
  • Basic First Aid Training.
  • Confined Space Entry & Breathing Apparatus Training.
