Facility Engineer

 Job Description:

Client: Oil and gas company focuses on exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas.

Location: Bangkok

Type of hiring: Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain offshore processing facilities to perform as intended, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, the Company's management system, and relevant standards.
  • Enhance facility reliability through engineering solutions and initiatives.
  • Implement continuous improvement in all aspects of asset operations.

Facilities

  • Apply relevant engineering concepts, best practices, and expertise to provide engineering services and professional guidance.
  • Identify technical difficulties, evaluate alternatives, and develop solutions to achieve satisfactory conclusions.
  • Serve as an engineering interface with operations, service providers, design authorities, project staff, and other stakeholders in planning and implementing engineering activities.
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders such as subject matter experts, different disciplines, etc., to produce an integrated and correct solution.
  • Ensure that safety risks and business risks associated with engineering activities are assessed, and appropriate checks, controls, and precautions are taken.
  • Lead plant modifications as per the approved MoC scope & definition, managing the completion of all deliverables as per MoC requirements for closure.
  • Review engineering, procedures, defects, maintenance issues, non-conformances, and problem areas as necessary. Utilize information from evaluations to improve effectiveness, reliability, maintainability, and economy, leading to continuous improvement.
  • Prepare reports on performed work.

Maintenance

  • Lead equipment troubleshooting in accordance with corrective maintenance work orders.
  • Ensure successful execution and closeout of corrective maintenance through effective planning, execution, materials sourcing, manpower utilization, cost control, long-term planning, and project implementation.
  • Provide technical advice to the Operations Engineer in the form of corrective action or recommendations to prevent a recurrence of Production Shortfalls due to the same cause.
  • Lead the periodic evaluation of the preventive maintenance program in collaboration with the Operations Engineer and other technical authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in oil & gas upstream or petrochemical industry.
  • Familiarity in engineering standards, principles, and concepts.
  • Having experience working offshore would be beneficial.
  • Expertise in process plant operations, engineering, and process safety.
  • Ability to positively influence the team while remaining open to differences of opinion.
  • Capable of working with limited supervision on assigned tasks.
  • Proficient in Thai and English with excellent written, spoken, and presentation skills.
