Position: Costing Accountant
Type of Hiring: Contract
Location: Jatujak, Bangkok
The role of a Credit Risk involves managing a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure the company's credit risk exposure is controlled. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statements, and risk assessment, as well as experience in credit risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze inventory valuation reports, ensuring accurate cost calculations and adherence to US GAAP and statutory requirements.
- Make necessary inventory adjustments for variances, shrinkage, and obsolescence.
- Participate in the month-end closing process for inventory accounts.
- Serve as the focal point for vendor master data maintenance.
- Create, update, and manage supplier records in the accounting system.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date vendor information for proper purchasing and payment processes.
- Block inactive vendors as needed.
- Support the maintenance of cost center, profit center, material, and plant data.
- Analyze inventory data to identify cost trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Generate reports that provide insights into profitability by product, location, or other relevant segments.
- Stay up-to-date on accounting standards and best practices related to inventory management.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, operations, and sales, on inventory-related matters.
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a costing or inventory accounting role.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and statutory accounting principles as they apply to inventory valuation.
- Experience with inventory management systems and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good command of English.
