Cost Control Engineer

 Job Description:

Our client the specializes in designing and installing structures for the oil and gas industry, particularly for offshore drilling platforms.

Position: Subcontracts and Cost Control Engineer

Report to: Directly: Project Subcontracts Manager

Indirectly: Project Manager

Employment Status: Contract until 31 Dec 2025

Working location: Laem Chabang, Chonburi.

Working Hour: Mon Fri 7.30 17.00 and Sat 7.30 12.00

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Payment Process: Verify activities by ensuring all required supporting documentation and procedures are followed, resulting in the recommendation of payment for work completed.
  • Optimize Costs: Ensure subcontractor costs stay within the approved budget while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Manage Subcontracts: Oversee subcontract agreements to ensure contractors deliver as per scope, timeline, and cost requirements.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial and contractual risks associated with subcontractor expenses.
  • Check and verify Monthly Progress Report including invoice 50%

       Bi-weekly or Monthly timely, Accuracy

  • Controls Subcontractors aligned with agreement commercial term 20%

       Daily Well understand, Accuracy

  • Change order process 20%

       Occasionally timely, Well understand, Accuracy, Cost saving

  • Support other commercial activities under SCA responsibilities 5%

       Occasionally timely, Accuracy

  • Arrange Commercial meetings with subcontractor if required 5%

Qualifications Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineer
  • Minimum 3-5 years direct experience, preferably in EPC projects
  • Understanding of contractual requirements
