 Job Description:

Our client is an exploration and production oil in Thailand. They are looking for a "Senior Corporate Affairs officer"

Job Description: 

  • Draft and edit external communications, including press releases, regulatory filings, and sustainability reports.
  • Assist in preparing management for media engagements and public speaking.
  • Manage company communication materials, such as website content and video scripts.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all external communications.
  • Manage internal communications, including editing articles and coordinating approvals.
  • Support the CSR team in developing messaging materials and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Assist with government, partner, and industry engagement programs.
  • Plan and execute corporate events, such as board visits and exhibitions.
  • Support regulatory advocacy efforts and prepare materials for external stakeholders.
  • Monitor global media for company updates and external developments.
  • Maintain relationships with journalists in Southeast Asia and other regions.
  • Prepare background materials for journalists to provide context on company news.
  • Manage content updates for the company's corporate website
  • Contribute to website redesign or redevelopment projects
  • Oversee corporate social media presence and collaborate with the broader team to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Maintain communication with the GPA group regarding government and regulatory matters.
  • Prepare executive summaries of key political developments that impact the company's business.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in communications, business, journalism, international relations, public policy, or an oil and gas-related field
    • Familiarity with the upstream oil and gas industry
    • Knowledge of website platforms, particularly WordPress
    • Understanding of public company corporate communications concepts, such as restrictions on selective disclosure and continuous disclosure obligations
    • Familiarity with common sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, etc.)
    • At least 5 years of professional communications experience in a corporate communications or media relations setting
    • Prior journalism experience
    • Experience in or exposure to the upstream oil and gas sector
    • Proven English language business writing skills
    • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
    • Eye for modern graphic design
    • Familiarity with political environments in Southeast Asia
    • Ability to provide feedback and constructive criticism to senior management
