Senior Project Engineer (Vietnamese)
Job Description:
Reporting to: Head of Project Management Team
Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that engineering and procurement activities within their remit are executed in line with the project schedule, allocated man-hours, equipment and materials budgets, and contractual specifications.
- Provide timely updates to the Project Manager regarding activity progress, significant deviations, or potential risks.
- Uphold corporate policies related to quality and HSE within their scope of responsibility.
- Guarantee the interdisciplinary consistency of design and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate engineering and procurement activities across group engineering centres and project partners for the assigned scope of work.
- Ensure vendor documentation is reviewed, commented upon, and returned to vendors within agreed timelines.
- Assist in obtaining client approval for technical documentation.
- Oversee the preparation of documentation required for permitting processes in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all disciplines under their responsibility are equipped with the necessary information and data to carry out their activities effectively.
- Contribute to the definition and development of equipment lists.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in engineering or project execution roles, ideally in industries like oil & gas, energy, petrochemical or infrastructure, with a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, procurement processes, and international standards, along with proficiency in project management tools.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Vietnamese, with the ability to prepare and present technical documents and reports effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, address challenges, and deliver solutions while maintaining a strong focus on HSE and quality compliance.
