Responsibilities:
- Lead geophysical analysis for appraisal activities, overseeing assets from exploration handover to Assess Phase completion.
- Develop and manage appraisal strategies, including data acquisition plans and static model creation for new discoveries.
- Secure approvals and execute data acquisition (wells, seismic programs) to evaluate project viability.
- Perform detailed 3D seismic interpretation on discoveries to assess resource potential accurately.
- Generate structural reservoir maps, depth conversions, and identify valuable well targets through data interpretation.
- Conduct specialized seismic processing and attribute mapping for reservoir characterization and hydrocarbon indication.
- Assess risk profiles across oil and gas volumes (proven, probable, possible) and integrate data to determine recovery potential.
- Design well profiles informed by seismic data, identifying shallow gas and drilling hazards.
- Support drilling operations with horizontal well profile designs, developing comprehensive drilling plans.
- Contribute to reservoir models, creating maps that include sand thickness, net-to-gross, porosity, and water saturation.
- Oversee drilling alignment with appraisal goals, addressing challenges and supporting goal achievement.
- Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and best practices in geophysical activities while mentoring junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geophysics or Geology.
- 10-15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong analytical, observational, and investigative skills.
- Proficient in Geology & Geophysics (G&G) software and data interpretation.
- Skilled in mathematical and numerical analysis.
- Advanced computer skills specific to geophysical expertise; competent in additional relevant skills (e.g., Operations, Development).
- Knowledge of cross-functional disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English.
