Our client the specializes in designing and installing structures for the oil and gas industry, particularly for offshore drilling platforms.

Position: Senior Welding QC Inspector

Employment Status: 1 year contract

Working location: Laemchabang Industrial Estate.

Working Hour: Mon Fri 7.30 17.00 and Sat 7.30 12.00

Bus provided: On Sukhumvit main road from Chalermchai Chonburi and Banchang Rayong.

Responsibility

• Area of responsibility is Piping /Structural / Mechanical
• Assist in planning inspection requirements for phases/projects prior to and throughout commencement.
• Ensure that Inspection Request for Verification (IRV) is implemented according to company procedural instructions and project requirements.
• Ensure that all project quality control records and documentation are completed and progressively compiled into the final project document (MRB/MDR). Regularly review Material and Weld History Sheets (MWHS) and NDE reports for accuracy.
• Advise QC Inspectors to conduct walk-throughs, generate punch lists for outstanding works/re-works, issue IRNs, and raise completion records.
• Perform monitoring and surveillance of welding and consumable control to ensure quality control is maintained during fabrication, erection, installation, and pre-commissioning stages.
• Ensure that Site Instructions (SI) are implemented, man-hours are recorded, and the system is updated/closed in PMT.
• Represent the Team Lead for special tasks such as offsite audits, kick-offs, weekend focal points, etc.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in a related engineering discipline, or Welding Inspector CSWIP 3.1/ AWS CWI/ PCN certifications or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 Years of experience in QC discipline in Oil & Gas platform fabrication.
• Minimum 2 Years experience in Senior Inspection Level
• Good English Communication.
• Project Specification and standard code knowledge.
• Ability to action stead QC inspection team lead.
