Control Room Operation Coach

 Job Description:

Our client the specializes in cement manufacturing in Thailand.

Responsibility

  • Implement the CRO coach program to train the Control room operators (CRO)
  • Review and improve Standard Operating Procedures
  • Implement a performance monitoring system for tracking CRO daily, weekly, and monthly performance.
  • Ensure OH&S requirements are part of activities and documentation for the development of coaching programs
  • Actively manages risks by ensuring that all related control activities are implemented through production standard operating procedures
  • Train and develop the CRO to operate the plant consistently and optimize production according to the defined targets, e.g., quantity, quality, optimized cost,legal compliance.
  • Define and develop standard operation procedures(SOPs/WI),ensure to apply by CRO
  • Monitor the operation's performance and provide timely information to make decisions on how to reach production targets and adjust operations and parameters for further improvements.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend technical solutions t solve problems
  • Support the team in operating the plant to achieve the monthly performance targets

Key skill and Knowledge

  • Technical Proficiency : In-depth understanding of cement manufacturing processes, including raw material preparation, preheater tower operation, kiln firing, clinker production, and cement grinding & Expertise in operating complex Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Troubleshooting Abilities, Capable of quickly diagnosing operational problems , ability to analyze process data to optimize production parameters.
  • Adaptability and Continuous Improvement: Dedication to staying updated on industry best practices and technological advancements that can enhance operational performance.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to clearly communicate operational information to colleagues, engineers, and maintenance teams, especially during emergencies or shutdowns

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Senior high school with experience in cement manufacturing operators & production process
  • 20 years of experience in cement manufacturing operations, with a strong understanding of process control systems and instrumentation
  • Relevant vocational or technical certifications in industrial operations or process control systems can also be considered
  • Previous experience operating Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems is essential
