Job Description:
Client: A subsidiary of a leading oil and gas exploration and production company
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Type of hiring: Contract
Responsibilities
- Conduct studies on each opportunity, evaluating planning and commercial aspects, and identify potential new opportunities. Formulate proposals for management consideration.
- Support the team in detailed feasibility studies for selected exploration and greenfield development opportunities, coordinating with relevant parties and external consultants as needed.
- Prepare and execute negotiation strategies and contracts to maximize returns for COMPANY. Coordinate with the Legal Team to draft and review contracts, participate in negotiation activities, and organize contract signing activities.
- Assist the team in transitioning activities to operations within the timeline, developing hand-over plans and coordinating with relevant functions for a smooth transfer of information and implementation activities.
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of hand-over activities as planned, ensuring a successful and seamless transition until completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related discipline, with an MBA or a postgraduate degree in Economics or Finance preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in the Exploration and Production (E&P) industry.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, high motivation, and organizational abilities.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to multitask and detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
