Our client is a leading operation company in the oil and gas industry. They are looking to hire multiple inspectors to join their team.

Position: Welding/ NDE Inspector (Structural, Piping and Pipeline)

Type of Hiring: Contract 2 Years

Job Descriptions:

• Work closely with the COMPANY Site Representative to ensure project delivery meets quality objectives.
• Mentor site team and COMPANY personnel in welding, fabrication, and installation.
• Review codes, standards, project specifications, and related documents.
• Perform routine quality surveillance to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor receiving inspection of project materials and equipment.
• Witness welding activities, interpret NDE results, and monitor welding parameters.
• Verify and monitor equipment calibration for compliance with project requirements.
• Report non-conformances and deviations in performance or quality promptly.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies and problems related to quality and relevant work matters.
• Ensure proper documentation of test and inspection reports in a progressive manner.
• Support COMPANY Site Representative and Project team in related audits to ensure technical integrity.
• Anticipate and address potential problems impacting quality, schedule, and costs.
• Assist COMPANY personnel in project quality matters and additional tasks.
• Promote quality awareness among project personnel.
• Provide feedback for project quality improvement and participate in SSHE activities.
• Foster smooth working relations with Contractor, COMPANY Project Team, and other stakeholders.
• Review QA/QC reports and final documentation for compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in QA/QC, fabrication, welding, and NDE techniques (RT, UT, MT & PT) with previous work experience in offshore and onshore fabrication yards.

Minimum qualifications required:

• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• ASNT level 2 for MT and PT
• CSWIP / PCN level 2 (Interpreter) for RT
• CSWIP / PCN level 2, preferably with AUT, for UT

Additional requirements for CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL in each discipline:

For Structural Steel:

• Familiarity with international codes/standards for structural steel in the Oil and Gas Industry.

For Piping, Mechanical, and Pressure Vessel:

• Familiarity with international codes/standards for piping and pressure vessels in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Knowledge and experience of bulk material inspection for carbon and stainless steel.

For Pipeline:

• Familiarity with international codes/standards for pipelines in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Knowledge and experience in SSC and HIC testing according to NACE standards.
• Knowledge and experience in Field Joint Coating inspection according to relevant standards.
