Senior Instrument Engineer (Metering)
Job Description:
Our client is a leading Oil and Gas exploration and production company in Malaysia and other countries.

Responsibilities:
- Assists the Onshore and Offshore teams in providing production and flow measurement engineering support by advising on production strategies and conducting optimization studies.
- Optimizes the functioning of flow measurement equipment and oil and gas production processes using computer simulations using commercially available software and site trials as needed.
- Flow measurement production issues must be recognized, and corrective actions must be launched, installed, and tested.
- All aspects of flow measurement requirements from a production standpoint, including performance evaluation, must be performed on a regular basis to save costs while maximizing production.
- Assists offshore and onshore staff in the adjustment of flow measurement and instrumentation.
- Creates and assesses measuring processes and documentation, such as maintenance, operating, commissioning, and testing procedures.
- Assists with the creation and implementation of the company's Asset Management System, which is harmonized across the Business units where possible.
- Assists facility and support workers in the development and execution of short- and medium-term facility plans.
- Keeps the Corporate Production Database operational for reporting reasons.
- Ensures that all actions are carried out in accordance with all legal and Company requirements.
- In charge of scheduling technical activities and facility maintenance related to instrumentation and metering to support oil and gas production.
- In order to accomplish Company objectives, performs non-routine activities and attends such meetings, factory acceptance tests, and site acceptance tests as ordered by the Facilities Engineering Manager or as the opportunity presents.
- Ensuring that adequate documentation is in place at all times and that it is kept up-to-date, as well as driving innovation in the creation and implementation of new measuring methods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control, and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
- At least 10 years of working experience in the relevant areas of metering engineering and maintenance.
- Experience in production or operations (oil and gas industry).
- Ability to work independently, in teams, and in an energized, supportive environment.
- Excellent organizational and team-building abilities.
- Registered with the Malaysian Board of Engineers
