Position: Safety Officer for plant construction
Location: Chonburi
Contract Term: 1 year contract (possible renewable)
Working Hour: 5 days / week
Start Date: July 2023

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans, policies, and procedures for construction sites.
• Identify potential safety hazards and risks associated with construction activities and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and design.
• Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal safety regulations relevant to construction.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards, such as falls, electrical hazards, confined spaces, or hazardous materials, associated with construction activities.
• Analyze and evaluate risk levels and recommend appropriate control measures to minimize or eliminate hazards.
• Promote a safety culture by conducting regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and promoting awareness campaigns
• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Identify potential safety violations, hazards, and non-compliance issues, and initiate corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, incident reports, and safety-related training.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Have minimum 5 years on site construction.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards relevant to construction.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniques
• Excellent communication skills to effectively train workers and communicate safety guidelines
• Attention to detail and ability to identify safety gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
