Key Objectives

  • Oversee the introduction and integration of new SAP systems for procurement functions, including sourcing, contract management, and Procure to Pay (P2P).
  • Collaborate with leadership to create strategies and technological solutions that enhance procurement processes and support continuous improvement.
  • Aid the Procurement team in evaluating and selecting potential suppliers and software during the tendering process.
  • Provide system-related assistance to ensure the execution of purchasing activities aligns with company policies and administrative guidelines.
  • Ensure the effective establishment and communication of new procurement systems, including comprehensive user training.
  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of new procurement systems, including developing and managing training plans and strategies.
  • Facilitate timely enhancements to procurement systems and develop strategies to ensure smooth execution and integration.
  • Uphold high standards of ethics and fairness in procurement activities, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of all procurement processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with users, management, and service providers to support solution delivery and ongoing system support.
  • Ensure all procurement system acquisitions and enhancements comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and government regulations.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of SAP system applications related to procurement functions, ensuring effective connectivity with all user groups.
  • Plan and coordinate the execution of new enhancements to procurement processes and systems to meet specified deadlines.
  • Initiate, perform, and manage SAP system activities related to various operational areas, including geological, geophysical, exploration, drilling, production, and support functions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procurement procedures, user guides, and system workflows, including periodic reporting requirements.
  • Provide training on new systems or process enhancements to ensure users understand and effectively utilise the new systems.
  • Address and resolve issues or requests related to SAP or procurement systems in collaboration with the AO team and corporate IT.
  • Design and conduct UAT for new system enhancements to ensure they meet user requirements and function correctly.
  • Liaise with approving authorities to obtain necessary comments and endorsements, and prepare reports for contract monitoring and procurement plans.
  • Act as the main contact for procurement system issues, interfacing with user departments, the AO team, corporate IT, and submitting relevant SAP reports.
  • Execute tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Procurement Manager and other senior managers, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and project goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Procurement, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in IT within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement procedures and processes, with exposure to SAP and other procurement-related systems.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, with strong computer literacy, especially in SAP, and excellent team-building abilities.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
