Position: SSHE Supervisor

Hiring Duration: 1 Year

Start Date: Tentative 9 October 2024 8 October 2025

Rotation: 21/21 or 28/28 (Upon the owner's assignment)

Job Description:

  • Ensure contractors SSHE standards meet all the SSHE requirements and are in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments, prioritizing mitigations, and following up remedial actions.
  • Create and ensure that all SSHE initiatives are successfully implemented, monitored, and tracked at the rig site through constant liaison with Well Engineering and Operations Division SSHE.
  • Provide expert opinions and advise the drilling supervisor, offshore installation manager, and rig safety officer in resolving SSHE matters.
  • Report daily SSHE activities/issues to the Drilling Superintendent and Well
  • Engineering and Operations Division SSHE
  • Provide information as required on SSHE-related regulatory requirements to ensure full compliance.
  • Assist the Drilling Superintendent in pre-start drilling inductions for rig personnel.
  • Ensure that SSHE lessons learned are recorded, analyzed, and shared.
  • Create and conduct routine SSHE inspections/audits. Follow up findings and recommendations until completely closed out.
  • Lead incident investigation (HPI, Level 1 and 2 incident cases).
  • Follow up findings and recommendations until completely closed out.
  • Provide relevant SSHE training to all contractors.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 year of experience in managing health and safety in the Oil & Gas industry with at least 3 years experience as an SSHE supervisor, including development and implementation of management systems and training
  • Experience in managing drilling rig, subcontractors, and service providers
  • Must be certified with basic safety, T-BOSIET, H2S awareness, first aid, fire-fighting, Permit to Work system, gas tester, H2S
  • Internationally recognized Diplomas in SSHE or Security related subjects including: Risk Assessment, Incident Response and Investigation, SSHE Auditing, NEBOSH, IOSH or industry equivalent qualifications, and Risk Assessment
  • Good in written and spoken English skills
