Job Summary:

The QC Supervisor is pivotal in developing innovative quality control processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role is crucial in overseeing supplier quality programmes and assisting the Quality Manager with various strategic initiatives. It demands strong analytical skills, a robust background in quality management, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve and surpass quality objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control plans to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to enhance quality management systems, processes, and procedures through continuous improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate and lead customer audit activities, including preparation, execution, and resolution of audit findings.
  • Provide guidance and support for quality assurance activities, encompassing risk assessment, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Take charge of supplier quality management processes, including supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate quality-related risks across the supply chain.
  • Analyse quality data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of risk.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in developing and implementing strategic quality initiatives and objectives.
  • Mentor and coach junior quality team members to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Science, Engineering, or related discipline); a Masters degree is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience in quality management roles, with a focus on quality control, assurance, and improvement within manufacturing environments.
  • Expertise in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements, with a proven track record in leading customer audits and managing supplier quality relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data sets and driving data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels, and a strong command of both spoken and written English.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute quality strategies aligned with business objectives, and good computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, navigate high-stakes situations with composure and efficiency, and hold a valid car driving licence for driving in Thailand.
