Electrical & Instrument Engineer
Job Description:
Our client is a leading Oil and Gas exploration and production in Malaysia and the countries.
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Type of hiring: Contract 1 year
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Assists the Onshore and Offshore teams in providing production and instrumentation engineering support by advising on production strategies and conducting optimization studies.
- Participation in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, F&G mapping, and Safety Case studies.
- All aspects of flow measurement requirements from a production standpoint, including performance evaluation, must be performed on a regular basis to minimize costs while optimizing production.
- Assists offshore and onshore staff in the adjustment of flow measurement and instrumentation.
- On-site inspections and testing of equipment to guarantee compatibility with safe and efficient offshore and onshore operations.
- Liaise with other units or departments in order to collect information related to production.
- Assists in the formulation and implementation of the Management of Change, which is harmonized across the Business Units, if possible.
- Assists facility and supports employees in the preparation and implementation of short- and medium-term facility plans.
- In charge of planning technical tasks and facility upkeep for oil and gas production that involve instrumentation and metering.
- Ensuring that appropriate documentation is always in place, is kept up to date, and promotes creativity in the creation and application of novel measurement techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control, and Instrumentation Engineering.
- At least 6 years of working experience in oil & gas background.
- Capacities for both independent work, working in teams and working in an energetic supporting environment.
- Self-motivated and fast learner.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia
