Job Description:
Client: A subsidiary of a leading oil and gas exploration and production company
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Type of hiring: Contract
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to the company's appraisal and development initiatives.
- Strategize and oversee cost-effective logging and coring programs.
- Conduct near real-time formation evaluation to support drilling and well intervention operations.
- Plan, execute, and manage petrophysical studies aimed at reservoir characterization and volumetric resource assessment.
Qualifications
- Degree in the relevant field with 5-9 years of experience.
- Possess a strong knowledge of Measurement While Drilling (MWD), Logging While Drilling (LWD), wireline logging tools, and formation evaluation techniques.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IT and data management skills.
- Familiarity with evaluating vintage logs.
- Exhibit effective communication and coordination skills, bridging the gap between Geology & Geophysics (G&G), reservoir engineering, and drilling teams.
- Consideration will be given exclusively to local candidates.
