We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to provide expert technical legal advice and comprehensive support for our Thailand Business Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for navigating complex legal landscapes, ensuring corporate compliance, and partnering closely with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team and other key functions to facilitate timely and compliant business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Legal Advisory: Deliver sound legal counsel on a wide range of operational issues, venture obligations, and compliance risks.
• Contract Management: Support SCM in the delivery of high-value and complex contracts, including Drilling Rig, EPC, and T&I agreements. This includes reviewing bidder exceptions, supporting negotiations, and approving final contract forms.
• Dispute Resolution: Advise on potential litigation and disputes with contractors or host government entities as they arise.
• Ethics & Compliance: Promote the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery Management Systems (ABMS). Support the development and implementation of ethics and compliance programs in line with international standards (ISO37001).
• Project Leadership: Manage internal projects related to the development of corporate policies, legal frameworks, and procedural improvements.
• External Counsel Supervision: Instruct and manage external law firms to ensure high-quality delivery within established budgets.
• Due Diligence: Conduct thorough legal research and due diligence on third-party individuals and entities to mitigate corporate risk.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.). A Master's Degree or international qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience within an international law firm or as in-house counsel for an international organization.
• Significant experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector is essential, with deep knowledge of Thai oil and gas regulations.
• Strong background in English Law and Contract Law.
• Native or professional fluency in both written and spoken Thai and English.
